Queens University of Charlotte has established the Athletics Hall of Fame to honor and celebrate the sport tradition by:
• Recognizing former students and/or coaches who excelled in Queens Athletics
• Encouraging current student-athletes to strive to attain the highest standards for performance, conduct, and contribution
• Familiarizing the entire campus community, Charlotte community, and alumni with the University’s rich athletic history
Categories and Criteria
• Student-Athlete
The nominee must have earned at least two letters in one sport or one letter in two or more sports and have attended Queens for
a minimum of two years. The student-athlete will be considered 10 years after graduation. The nominee must have left Queens in good standing and be a contributing member of society.
• Royals Lifetime Achievement Award
The nominee must have attended Queens for at least two years and have made significant contribution during that time and beyond.
• Coach or Administrator
The nominee must have served at Queens University of Charlotte for at least five years and will be eligible upon leaving or retiring from Queens and/or coaching.
• Billy O. Wireman Award*
The nominee must have made a significant contribution to Queens Athletics.
(*To be established in 2011 to honor Dr. Wireman’s contributions to Queens Athletics)
 The Hall of Fame was established in 2010.Â
