JR Gamble is the seventh men’s basketball player to be inducted into the Queens Athletics Hall of Fame individually and the 20th overall. In just two seasons, the guard recorded 950 points, 354 rebounds, 291 assists, and 246 steals. His efforts on the court helped the Royals post a 42-18 overall record across two seasons. Additionally, the Royals were CVAC Regular Season Champions during the 2000-2001 season, and Gamble helped Queens make their first Elite 8 appearance while being ranked as high as eighth in the nation.
 
Following his 2000-2001 season performance, Gamble was named CVAC Player of the Year. He was also named to the all-conference and all-tournament teams. The six-time league player of the week was also named to the Daktronics All-East Second Team and the NABC All-American Second Team.
 
Currently, Gamble is ranked first on Queens’ all-time list in steals and steals per game, eighth in assists, and fourth in assists per game. He also holds the single-season record for steals (139) and steals per game (4.3) and the single-game record for steals (11).
 
Gamble majored in religion while at Queens. Since that time, he has written three books, "Prayers for Athletes", "10 Commandments for Success", "Don't Tell Me What I Can't Be," which is a children’s book.
 
Additionally, Gamble started his coaching career while playing professionally in Portugal and has now been coaching for 22 years. He has coached at the collegiate level at both Colorado State University and Palm Beach State College. He has also coached professionally in the American Basketball Association (ABA).
 
Currently, Gamble serves as the bible teacher, pastor, track, and basketball coach at Atlantic Christian Academy in West Palm Beach, Florida where he resides with his wife, Tamara, and sons, Elisha (14), Micah (12), and Dhiren (10).
