Royals Hall of Fame
Originally from St. Lucia, Yogi led the Royals to a 57-28 record during his career in a Royals uniform. In his senior campaign (1995-96) the men’s basketball team finished 25-6, won the Carolinas-Virginias Athletic Conference championship, and made their first NCAA Appearance. For his outstanding play Leo was named first-team all conference and was voted by National Association of Basketball Coaches to the All-Region and All-America teams.
In his junior year he was ranked 15th nationally in field goal percentage for Division II. As a senior, Yogi received the prestigious honor of being named the top male student-athlete of the year at Queens. Today Yogi is ranked sixth in career scoring with 1345, eighth in rebounds, second in career blocks and fourth in field goal percentage. Yogi averaged 16 points per game and 8 rebounds per game for his career putting him with an elite class of athletes.
Currently Leo works as a Sr. Application Administrator for Family Dollar Stores and resides in Charlotte with his wife, Beth and two daughters Abigail and Sydney.
