Class of 1998
Women's Volleyball 1994-1998

Suzanne McReynolds was one of the best women’s volleyball players that Queens has  ever seen pass through its doors.  McReynolds had a plethora of awards given to her throughout her playing career and some of her records still stand today.  She had a four-year career at Queens and graduated in 1998.

McReynolds won player of the year and was also selected to the All-CVAC All-Time Team.  In addition to those distinct honors, she was also selected first team all-conference and to the all-tournament team before graduating.  She didn’t stop there, as she also left a mark in the record books. McReynolds finished her career fifth in total kills with 736, eighth in kills per game with 2.35, fourth in attack attempts with 2010, fourth in total digs with 753, and finally number one in service aces with 110.  In addition to those career numbers, McReynolds also set individual season records as she still stands number eight in kills with 297 in her sophomore season.

McReynolds is still competing today, only she plays in the sand instead of on the court. In 2009, she represented the USA in a FIVB Beach Tournament in Colima, Mexico finishing seventh out of 15 countries.

McReynolds currently resides in Hermosa Beach, Calif., with her husband, Matt Scott, where she had been teaching special education for nine years. She has since taken time off to spend with her two young children, Chloe (3) and Tyler (2).
