Brittany Philip is the second women’s lacrosse player to be inducted into the Queens Athletics Hall of Fame. In four years, the attacker started in every game of her career en route to accumulating 168 goals and 40 assists for 208 points. She also tallied 144 ground balls and 115 draw controls. During her senior season, Philip scored a team high 56 goals and led the team with 67 draw controls. The season was the best of her career as she was nationally ranked 16th in goals, 18th in goals per game and 27th in draw controls per game.
 
Following her senior season, Philip was the first Royal to earn Conference Carolinas Player of the Year honors. She was also named to the IWLCA All-Region First Team and All-American Second Team. Additionally, the Corning, New York native was named to the Synapse Sports All-American First Team and represented Queens as the NCAA Woman of the Year nominee. Philip was also honored on the IWLCA Academic Honor Roll.
 
Currently, Philip ranks fifth all-time in points and ground balls and second in goals and draw controls. Her 56 goals in 2012 ranks third for a single season while her goals per game and draw controls per game that season also rank top five.
 
Philip has spent considerable time growing the sport of lacrosse in the Charlotte area since graduation. In 2012, she started the SPYA Girl’s Lacrosse Program, a 501c3 non-profit serving girls in K-8th grade. She is a US Lacrosse Athlete Development Cohort member and coach trainer, who also serves as youth director for Ultimate Charlotte, formerly Queen City Star. There, she focuses her time on the development of girls in K-8th grade at the academy and elite level. In addition, Philip has been the girl’s lacrosse program director and varsity head coach at Cannon School since the program’s inception in 2021.
 
Prior to 2019 when Philip shifted gears to serve in the world of education giving back to the youth in the Charlotte community, she had a successful career in sports marketing that spanned from the local level (Charlotte Hounds / Charlotte Independence) to Olympic Games Activation for Proctor & Gamble and Intel for Rio 2016 and PyeongChang 2018. She recently taught physical education and health to middle school students, and is currently a member of the College Counseling Department at Cannon School.
 
Philip (now Pasut) got married in September 2021 and lives in Charlotte with her husband, Alessandro, and their dog, Lizzy.
