Men's Soccer 1999-2003
Brian Flebbe played four years for the Queens University of Charlotte men’s soccer team before graduating in 2003.Throughout his storied career at Queens, the men’s soccer program flourished with his leadership. The soccer team dominated the conference and regional play as they were crowned regular season champions and tournament champions two times during Flebbe’s playing career. Included in that great success were two NCAA tournament runs, including an Elite Eight appearance, and a stretch of 25 consecutive wins.
Along with all the great team success, came many accolades for its goal keeper. Flebbe was able to compile several career records and just as many honors for his hard work and excellence in the net. During his career he was named an all-American, received first team all-conference honors, and was named to the all-time Carolinas-Virginia Athletic Conference team. Flebbe remains at the top of the Royals records with an impressive 374 career saves with a 4.92 save average per game giving him a save percent of 83 for his career. He also collected 14 shut-outs during his tenure.
In addition to his career records, Flebbe also holds several individual season records that are still standing today. He holds records in saves per game for all four of his seasons as he ranks number one, number three, number five, and number seven. He holds the fifth, sixth, and eighth best save percentage from three of his seasons. Finally, he also holds the top spot in goals against average and most shutouts with 11 on a single season. Flebbe was named a captain his junior and senior years and received the best male student-athlete of the year award from the department of athletics.
Currently living in Charlotte, Flebbe is engaged to Kimberly Kennedy.
