Royals Hall of Fame
Kristy Jolly Liles is the first center to be inducted in to the Queens Athletics Hall of Fame from the women’s basketball program. The six-foot, one-inch Ohio native came to the Royals in 1992 from Bryan, Ohio very much accomplished at the high school level, and she soon became a valuable asset to the Royals squad as they navigated their way into NCAA Division II competition. In her four years, Queens accumulated a 54-54 overall record. Additionally, the Royals became a member of the Carolinas-Virginia Athletic Conference (CVAC) during Liles’ senior season, posting an 8-10 record in their first year as a member.
Liles recorded a career total of 1,266 points, which ranks sixth on the programs all-time scorer’s list. She also totaled 834 rebounds, ranking second. Additionally, Jolly ranks fifth in career field goals made with 520, and first in career blocks with 205. Her best performance came during 1994-95 season when she averaged a double-double with 18.5 points and 10 rebounds per game. That same year she made the most field goals in a single season in Queens history with 212, and her 18.5 points per game ranks third highest for a single season. Liles totaled 68 blocks that season which is the most in a single season.
Liles graduated from Queens in 1996 with a degree in communications. She is married to Wade Liles and they have two children, Aiden and Kendall.
