Student-Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC)
SAAC Constitution
SAAC Mission
The SAAC mission is to enhance the total student-athlete experience by promoting opportunity, protecting student-athlete welfare and fostering a positive image. This is achieved through provided community service opportunities and campus activism for all varsity student-athletes, voting on National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA), athletic conference legislation, and being the voice of varsity student-athletes on campus.
Purpose
SAAC is an organization for the varsity student-athlete population at Queens University of Charlotte. It is comprised of current Queens varsity student-athletes. Varsity student-athletes are current students that represent the institution in competition as a member of the current list of sports acknowledged and supported by the Queens Athletic Department.
Â
To be a varsity student-athlete, the student has to be a current Queens student and selected to be a member of a varsity sport team by:
- being offered and accepting an athletic scholarship from the institution or
- being chosen by the coaching staff of the particular varsity sport of interest through the walk-on selection process.
Â
ASUN SAAC Constitution
SAAC must have at least two representatives from each of varsity athletic teams at Queens University of Charlotte. Â These representatives may be chosen by coaches or voted on by teammates. Members MUST be academically and athletically eligible. Other student-athletes interested in joining SAAC may join if approved by current SAAC President and Advisor.
