Crisp was a four-year starter at Queens, pitching and playing third base. During her tenure at Queens, she was selected as the Conference Player of the Week as a sophomore and was selected three times as the Conference Pitcher of the Week during her junior and senior years. She was a Conference All-Tournament selection, twice an All-Conference selection, and an All-Region selection. Catrina continued her excellence with three NCAA national rankings. Most notably, she was ranked 4th in the nation for strikeouts per 7 innings, averaging almost 10 strikeouts per game. Not only an outstanding pitcher and third-baseman, Crisp was the total package, batting near .400 during her career. She also led her team in batting average and slugging percentage in both her sophomore and junior year. During her sophomore year she received the team’s Offensive MVP award. The following year she was both the Offensive MVP and Defensive MVP. Her leadership was not limited to statistics as she was voted team Captain two of her four years. Additionally, she was honored with the coach’s award her senior year.
At the time of her graduation, she held Queens’ records in 11 categories. Today she still holds 6 records at Queens. As a hitter, she holds the top record for career batting average (.396) and career doubles. She maintains records at the top of pitching categories as well, including career strikeouts (546), career and single season shut outs (21 and 11), and career innings pitched.
It would be remiss not to mention her dedication to excellence in the classroom. While leading the team offensively and defensively, she maintained Dean’s List awards, earned an Academic All Conference honor, and was an NFCA All-America Scholar Athlete. She was also an officer in the Chi-Omega sorority, Vice President of the Honor Council, and a member of Tri-Beta Academic Honor Society.
After graduation from Queens, Catrina entered medical school at the University of Tennessee. Following a residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology, where she was selected by her superiors and peers as Chief Resident, Catrina was accepted into a prestigious fellowship in Female Pelvic Medicine and Reconstructive Surgery. Not only is she regarded as a surgical specialist, she is an active researcher who has been invited to speak across the country on women’s health issues.
She is married to Eric Harmon, and they have a daughter named Lacy Quinn.
