CHARLOTTE, N.C. – Queens University of Charlotte Head Men's Lacrosse Coach Chris Panos releases his program's 2023 schedule ahead of the Royals' first-ever NCAA Division I season.
 
"I'm very excited for the upcoming 2023 season with our reclassification to Division I and our placement within the ASUN Conference," Panos stated. "Being an ASUN member allows our program the opportunity to garner national exposure, as we play teams from all over the country. With 10 very good programs, the ASUN will be one of the best conferences in the country to watch for lacrosse. 
 
That said, we will face tremendous competition out of conference as well, and we are anxious and hungry to showcase our program against the best in the country on a weekly basis."
 
Following a few scrimmages in the month of January against a two familiar opponents, the Royals will begin their campaign on Sunday, Feb. 5 at Navy. Queens' home opener will then take place on Feb. 10 when they welcome Virginia Military Institute to Dickson Field. The Royals will then be on the road for the rest of the month traveling to face Hampton and Wagner.
 
Queens will kick off the month of March on the road at High Point on Mar. 7 before returning home to open ASUN Conference play against Air Force on Mar. 18. They will then be back on the road continuing conference play at Bellarmine and Lindenwood to end of the month of March.
 
On Apr. 1, Queens will host Detroit Mercy at Dickson Field. They will then travel to play Jacksonville before returning to the Queen City to welcome Cleveland State and Robert Morris to the Queens Sports Complex on Apr. 12 and 15, respectively. The Royals will then travel to Mercer before closing the regular season with a Senior Day game versus Utah.
 
The ASUN Men's Lacrosse Championship is scheduled to take place May 2-7 at Joe Walton Stadium located in Moon Township, Penn.
