CHARLOTTE, N.C. – The Queens University of Charlotte men's lacrosse team fell 17-7 this afternoon in a battle with Air Force (4-7, 2-1) at Dickson Field. The loss brings the Royals' record to 4-7 on the year and 0-3 in ASUN Conference play.
HOW IT HAPPENED
In today's opening quarter, the Falcons jumped out to a 3-0 lead before
Lincoln Huskey put Queens on the board, scoring a man-up goal at 6:42. The Royals then traded goals with Air Force to end the period trailing, 5-2.
Queens then sandwiched two goals between a pair of Air Force runs in the second quarter to head into the half down by six goals, 10-4.
The Falcons came out of the break with the momentum, scoring six unanswered goals, growing the margin to 12, 16-4, with 11:25 left to play in the game. Queens then outscored the visitors 3-1 in the remaining minutes of the game to close the gap to 10, 17-10, at the end of regulation.
