Box Score HICKORY, N.C. – The Queens University of Charlotte men's lacrosse team traveled to face No. 7 Lenoir-Rhyne University, falling, 17-8, in their first meeting with the Bears since the 2016 South Atlantic Conference Championship Tournament game. The loss brings the Royals' league record to 4-3, while they move to 6-5 on the season. The Bears remain undefeated at 6-0 in the SAC after picking up their 10
th win in a row. They are 10-1 on the year.
Freshman attacker
Justin Swick led the Royals with three goals, while
Duncan Smith added two goals.
Nick Sawyer and Erick Fitz contributed one goal apiece.
Nick Carlson led in assists with two. Goalkeeper
Anthony Valenza recorded 15 saves in the loss.
Lenoir-Rhyne was led by Eric Dickinson who totaled four goals. Collier Stone, Will Remsen, Mike Hanlon and Kody Kindle scored two goals each. Ben Corrigan tallied five assists. In the cage, Ryan Crompton tallied 12 saves.
Queens will be back in action on the road at No. 1 Limestone College on Wednesday, April 12 at 7 p.m.
