Box Score HICKORY, N.C. – The Queens University of Charlotte women's lacrosse team captured a 13-10 South Atlantic Conference win over Lenoir-Rhyne University this afternoon to remain undefeated in conference play at 5-0. The Royals, ranked 13
th in the latest IWLCA DII National Poll, now sit at 8-4 this season while the Bears fall to 4-6 on the year and 3-1 in the league.

Maggie Masters led the Royals with three goals apiece on the day, while sophomore midfielder
Aarika Kaester and junior midfielder
Brittany Larranaga each added two goals.
Abigail Paulus led all on the field with four assists. Dowd also totaled three ground balls to lead Queens in the category along with
Sydney Dishman.
Jena Ready led in draw controls with five, and Kaester led in caused turnovers with three.
Trailing the Bears 3-2 with 18:08 on the clock in the first half, Queens put together a 4-0 run to grab a 6-3 lead with 8:14 to play. The two teams then traded goals with Queens' Larranaga netting the last of the period at 1:05 to give the Royals an 8-5 advantage heading into the break.
Queens quickly extended their lead to five, 11-10, with two goals in the opening 10 minutes of second half action. Then a goal from Kaester at 12:59 completed a 3-0 push and put the Royals ahead six, 11-5.
LR responded at 11:42 and at 8:57 with back-to-back scores to cut the margin to four, 11-7, but the Royals answered with a pair of goals from Masters and
Bridgette Larranaga to pull away by six once more, 13-7, with 4:36 left in regulation. The Bears would score three more times before the final horn sounded to give the game its final score of 13-10.
Queens outshot the Bears 29-26 this afternoon putting 22 shots on goal. The Royals were edged in ground balls, 25-19, but won the draw control battle 15-10.
Danielle Horoschak took the win in goal after totaling nine saves.
Aubriana Benedetto led the Bears today with four goals and two assists. Claire Wach added two goals and two assists, while Kirsten Smith scored two goals. Ines Flueck took the loss in the cage after recording nine saves.
The Royals are back at home on April 4 when they host Wingate University at 5:30 p.m. for Senior Day.
