Royals Honored with ASUN Women’s Lacrosse Postseason Awards

CHARLOTTE, N.C. – The Atlantic Sun Conference announced women's lacrosse postseason awards today with Queens University of Charlotte's Kayleen Favreau and Savannah Donahue earning spots on the All-ASUN Second Team. Additionally, Sienna Wyatt was honored on the All-Freshman Team.
 
Favreau earns All-ASUN honors for the fourth time in her career after leading the Royals in goals, assists, and points this season with 38, 22, and 60, respectively. The senior attacker became Queens' all-time leading scorer this season, completing her career with 204 goals to go along with 65 assists for 269 points. At the close of the regular season, the two-time ASUN Offensive Player of the Year ranked third in goals (2.53) and points (4) per game and seventh in assists per game (1.47).
 
Donahue makes appearance on the second team for the second straight season after leading the Royals in caused turnovers and ground balls with 30 and 36, respectively. The junior defender recorded a career-high five ground balls against Furman and a career-high four caused turnovers against Winthrop, Davidson, and Coastal Carolina. She also recorded 26 draw controls, recording a career-high five against Elon and Clemson. Donahue ranked fourth in the ASUN in caused turnovers per game (2) and fifth in ground balls per game (2.40) at the end of the regular season.
 
Wyatt earns her spot on the All-Freshman Team after making appearances in all 15 of the Royals' games this season, making the start eight times. The attacker totaled 15 goals, five assists, 13 ground balls, four draw controls, and three caused turnovers. She scored a career-high five goals against Elon and finished the regular season with a .750 shot on goal percentage.
 
In addition to All-ASUN Teams being announced, the league released its list of Academic All-ASUN honorees with Erin Bock, Gianna Coburn, Melaina Springer, Isabella Swanson, and Favreau earning recognition. The Academic All-ASUN recognizes student-athletes who excel both in competition and in the classroom. All student-athletes named to the list boast a 3.50 cumulative grade point average or better and participated in at least half of their team's games.
