CONWAY, S.C. – The Queens University of Charlotte women's lacrosse team traveled to face Coastal Carolina (10-5, 3-3) this afternoon, falling 15-4 to the Chanticleers. The Royals' record now sits at 3-10 on the year and 3-3 in Atlantic Sun Conference play.
HOW IT HAPPENED
The Chanticleers struck first in today's game, scoring back-to-back goals within two minutes of each other in the first quarter. Queens'
Lexy Stevenson answered for the Royals at 4:26 to cut the margin in half, 2-1, but Coastal Carolina's Nikki Seven responded at 3:01 to put the home team in front 3-1, heading into the second period.
Coastal Carolina opened the game in the second, outscoring the Royals 5-1 to take an 8-2 lead into halftime.
Out of the break, Queens matched the Chanticleers on the offensive end as both teams added two points to the board. However, Coastal Carolina would put the game out of reach in the fourth quarter, scoring five unanswered goals to give the game its final score, 15-4.

- Queens goals were scored by Alyssa Hartis, Kayleen Favreau, Anna Bednarz, and Lexy Stevenson.
- Defensively, Savannah Donahue tallied four caused turnovers and five ground balls, while Molly O'Donnell recorded three caused turnovers and two ground balls.
- In goal, Gianna Coburn recorded today's loss after seeing 25:11 in the cage. Devan Maready recorded four saves in 34:49.
