Box Score 1 | Box Score 2 DUNBAR, W.V. - The Royals softball team travelled to West Virginia State University yesterday, where they picked up two wins by the score of 14-7 and 4-2.

In game one the Royals were led by senior slugger Kaitlyn Cheek who was 4-5, including a grand slam in the seventh inning. Adding to the offense was Amanda Meade who went 3-4 at the plate and both Ashley Rollins and Micaela Hayes who had triples during the game.

Rollins went the complete game circle in thefor the Royals.

In game two Kaitlyn Bodine broke the game open with an two RBI double in the second to give the Royals the lead. Cheek continued her power surge and added another home run in sixth. Joining in the fun offensively was freshman Ashton Whitaker who went 2-3 at the plate.

Lyndey McCurry went all seven innings in the circle.

The Royals are now 10-6 on the season and face the University of Charleston tomorrow.
