CHARLOTTE, N.C. – The Queens men's and women's swimming programs turned in multiple event wins against North Carolina on Friday, highlighted by seven individual first-place finishes.

North Carolina earned a 156-101 victory on the women's side and a 149-108 win in the men's competition.

Horvath earned the first individual victory of the meet for Queens, taking the men's 1000-yard freestyle in 9:26.89.

Madeline Foster followed with a victory in the women's 200-yard freestyle, touching in 1:48.06. Maren Patterson added another win for the Royals in the women's 100-yard freestyle with a time of 50.46.

On the men's side, TJ Spokas captured the 100-yard freestyle in 44.38 before Emil Harlem took first in the 100-yard butterfly with a 48.08. Brett Bailey finished directly behind Harlem in second at 48.19.

Queens continued to add to its point total in the 200-yard individual medleys after North Carolina moved to exhibition competition. Abigail Zboran led the women's scoring with a 2:03.30, while Matheus Teixeira Przewalla paced the men's field for points in 1:48.43. Queens swept the scoring positions in both events.

The Royals closed the meet with first-place points in both 200-yard freestyle relays. Patterson, Mia DeVito, Libby Livesay and Foster combined for a 1:32.26 on the women's side, while Nien Levy, Stamatis Paleocrassas, Harlem and Spokas finished in 1:18.95 for the men.
