CHARLOTTE, N.C. – Eight student-athletes from the Queens men's and women's swimming teams have been selected to the College Sports Communicators Academic All-District team, announced on Tuesday afternoon. Honorees from the women include Sabina Kupcova, Abigail Zboran, Maren Patterson, and Annika Huber. Honorees from the men include Keegan McKenney, Juan Gonzalez, Matt Shanahan, and Matheus Przewalla.
The 2025-26 Academic All-District® Men's & Women's Swimming & Diving teams, selected by College Sports Communicators, recognize the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances in the pool and in the classroom. The CSC Academic All-America® program separately recognizes men's swimming & diving honorees in four divisions — NCAA Division I, NCAA Division II, NCAA Division III and NAIA.
The criteria for the CSC Academic All-District selections are as follows:
- Be at least a sophomore academically and athletically
- An undergraduate student-athlete must have at least a 3.50 cumulative GPA
- A graduate student-athlete must have at least a 3.50 cumulative GPA (as both an undergraduate and graduate-student)
- Transfer student-athletes who are in their first semester at new institution must have at least a 3.50 GPA at their former institution
- Eligible individuals need to compete in at least four competitions OR finish top-eight at a conference meet
- Institutions are limited to four men's and four women's recipients
Academic All-District® honorees were considered for advancement to the CSC Academic All-America® ballot. Student-athletes selected as CSC Academic All-America® finalists are denoted with an asterisk and will advance to the national ballot to be voted on by CSC members.
