CHARLOTTE, N.C. — The Queens University of Charlotte swimming and diving programs have announced the 2026-27 schedule, featuring a competitive slate with conference opponents, challenging non-conference competition, and championship meets throughout the season.
"2026-27 will be a big year," said Director of Swimming Jeff Dugdale. "We have brought in 21 freshman and transfers for the men and women. Combined with our upperclassmen, we are excited to compete and represent the Royals."
The Royals will open the season on Friday, Sept. 25, with diving competition against UNC and Davidson in Huntersville, while the swimming teams will host North Carolina later that day at Queens. The Royals will continue the opening weekend on Saturday, Sept. 26, welcoming Davidson for a men's and women's dual meet.
Queens will continue its fall schedule with home meets against Catawba (Oct. 9) and Emory (Oct. 10), before hosting a pair of meets featuring Virginia Tech, Florida Gulf Coast, and Wingate on Oct. 23-24. The Oct. 23 competition will also feature women's diving in Huntersville.
The Royals will welcome Vanderbilt and Rutgers for a two-day home meet on Nov. 6-7 before competing at the annual Fall Frenzy from Nov. 19-22 at the MCAC.
Following the winter break, Queens will travel to Columbia, S.C., for a matchup with South Carolina on Jan. 2. The Royals will return home for their final regular-season meets, hosting Gardner-Webb on Jan. 22 and UNCW on Jan. 29-30. The UNCW matchup on Jan. 30 will serve as Senior Day.
The Royals will begin championship competition with the ASUN Championships, held Feb. 17-20 in Knoxville, Tenn. Queens diving will then compete at the NCAA Zone Diving Championships from March 8-10, while the swimming teams will compete at the National Invitational Championships from March 11-13 in Ocala, Fla.
The squads will set their sights on the NCAA Championships in Austin, Texas, with the women's championships taking place March 17-20 and the men's championships scheduled for March 24-27.
