CHARLOTTE, N.C. — Queens University of Charlotte women's basketball has added size, versatility, and scoring ability to its roster with the signing of Ashantay Noble, a 6-foot-1 guard/forward from Statesboro, Georgia.
"We're thrilled to welcome Ashantay to our program. She is the definition of a Swiss Army knife; she's a player who can impact the game in every facet," said head coach
Jen Brown. "Ashantay has the versatility to play and guard all five positions, and her ability to score at all three levels makes her a matchup problem. Beyond her talent, she brings toughness, basketball IQ, and a team-first mentality that fits exactly who we want to be as a program."
"I chose Queens because from the beginning, they believed in me not only as a basketball player, but also as a person," said Noble. "The coaches and community made me feel valued and welcomed right away. I could see myself growing there both on and off the court, and the strong sense of community and support made it feel like the perfect fit for me."
Noble joins the Royals after beginning her collegiate career at Georgia Southern University, where she appeared in four games as a true freshman during the 2024-25 season. She scored her first collegiate points on a three-pointer against Akron.
Following her freshman season, Noble joined Tallahassee (Fla.) State College, putting together an impressive sophomore campaign while emerging as one of the team's top all-around performers. In 31 games, she averaged 12.5 points, 5.0 rebounds, and 3.2 assists per game.
Throughout the season, Noble delivered several standout performances, including a season-high 27 points against Eastern Florida State College, where she connected on three shots from beyond the arc and converted 10 free throws. She also posted multiple 20-point outings, including performances against Daytona State College and East Georgia State College.
Before college, Noble built an impressive career at Bulloch Academy, where she earned All-State honors in both the 2022-23 and 2023-24 seasons. As a senior, she averaged 18.1 points, 6.3 rebounds, 3.3 assists, and 4.0 steals per game while recording 11 double-doubles and one triple-double. She finished her high school career with 1,507 points and 1,017 rebounds.
