CHARLOTTE, N.C. — Queens University of Charlotte women's basketball incoming guard Paulina Reichenauer has been selected to represent her native Germany at the 2026 FIBA U20 Women's EuroBasket tournament, set for July 4-12 in Klaipeda, Lithuania.
Reichenauer will compete with Germany in Division A's Group B, where the Germans will face Hungary, Latvia and Sweden during group-stage play. Germany opens the tournament against Hungary on Saturday, July 4, before taking on Latvia on Sunday, July 5. The group stage concludes Tuesday, July 7, with a matchup against Sweden.
The FIBA U20 Women's EuroBasket tournament provides one of the sport's premier stages for rising international talent, bringing together many of Europe's top young players. All games will stream live on FIBA.basketball and the FIBA YouTube channel.
A native of Waiblingen, Germany, Reichenauer brings an already well-rounded international résumé to the Royals after previously representing her country at the European Youth Olympic Festival. She arrives to Queens following a productive freshman season at Louisiana State University-Eunice, where she emerged as a presence on both ends of the floor. The 5-foot-11 guard averaged 11.5 points and 4.9 rebounds per game while contributing as a playmaker and defender throughout the season.
Her campaign included multiple 20-point performances, highlighted by a career-high 29 points against Jones College. Reichenauer also showed her ability to impact the game beyond scoring, recording a season-high 12 rebounds against Copiah-Lincoln Community College, seven assists against Southwest Mississippi Community College and six steals at SAU Tech.
In addition to her on-court production, Reichenauer earned Preseason Player of the Week recognition and was named Second Team All-Louisiana Community Colleges Athletic Conference.
Before beginning her career as a Royal, she will first have the opportunity to wear Germany across her chest on one of the sport's biggest youth stages.
