CHARLOTTE, N.C. – Queens University of Charlotte women's basketball has signed Ryan Davis, a 6'0" guard-forward combo from Cincinnati, Ohio. Davis comes to the Queen City following a season at Fairmont State University.
"Stay patient through the process – the opportunities meant for you when preparation meets belief," said Davis. "Thank you for believing in me, Queens women's basketball."
In her first collegiate season, Davis appeared in all 30 games, including six starts and helped the Falcons to a 21-9 record and 13-7 mark in Mountain East Conference play. The versatile addition averaged 7.7 points and 3.8 rebounds during her freshman season and reached double figures in 10 outings. Against Davis and Elkins, the Cincinnati native notched a double-double with 13 points and 11 rebounds. Three games later, Davis poured in a season-high 16 points on 8-of-17 shooting from the field while adding seven boards.
"Ryan is the type of player who embraces the tough, physical side of the game," said head coach
Jen Brown. She rebounds at a high level, competes every possession, and gives us added depth and versatility in the post. We're looking forward to seeing her make an immediate impact."
A multi-sport athlete at Winton Woods High School, Davis competed in basketball and volleyball. As a senior, Davis helped the Warriors to a perfect 27-0 season, which was capped off with a Division 2 State Championship. Winton Woods finished the year ranked No. 28 in the final MaxPreps national rankings and the No. 1 team in Ohio, regardless of Division. Davis's success during her senior campaign earned her an invitation to participate in the District 16 East vs. West Senior All-Star Game.
Davis played club basketball with Where2Next and averaged 10.0 points and 7.0 rebounds per game.
