CHARLOTTE, N.C. – Junior goalkeeper Nicky West of the Queens University of Charlotte men's Lacrosse team has been named to the 2026 Preseason All-ASUN Team, the league announced this afternoon. West is the first to earn preseason honors since the Royals joined the ASUN.
 
West earned his spot after being named to the 2025 Men's Lacrosse All-ASUN First Team. The starting goalkeeper completed the spring with a league-best .551 save percentage and 136 total saves. He also tallied 33 ground balls and three caused turnovers. In the Royals' regular-season finale against Bellarmine, West recorded a career-high 19 saves. He also totaled a career-high nine ground balls against Jacksonville. At the culmination of the regular season, West's goals against average (12.07) and saves per game (11.33) both sat fourth in the league.

The Royals will kick off their 2026 season on January 31 at Mount St. Mary's.
