LOUISVILLE, Ky. – The Queens University of Charlotte men's lacrosse team (3-11, 0-5) fell 11-10 at Bellarmine University (8-8, 2-3), bringing their 2025 season to a close for the Royals. The Royals needed to win today's game for a chance to advance to the Atlantic Sun Conference Men's Lacrosse Championship tournament.
HOW IT HAPPENED
Following a Bellarmine goal at 14:07 in the first quarter, Queens scored back-to-back goals to take their first lead of the day, 2-1, with 6:27 on the clock. The two teams traded goals with Queens'
Jack Royer scoring his third of the day at the end of the opening period to give the Royals a 4-3 lead. Queens then outscored the Knights 2-1 in the second quarter to take a 6-4 lead into the halftime break.
Queens held Bellarmine scoreless in the third quarter, while adding two more goals to the board.
Leading 8-4 at the start of the fourth, Queens allowed the Knights to slowly chip away at their lead. Bellarmine closed the gap to two before
Dylan Behnke scored at 11:04 to give the Royals a 9-6 advantage. However, the Knights would put together a four-goal run to take over control of the lead for the first time since the start of the game. Queens'
Carter Petersen knotted the game at 10 with 3:3o to play, but a goal from Bellarmine's Justin Wescoat at 2:03 proved to be today's game winner.

- Senior attacker Jack Royer led the Royals with four goals, ending his career ranked sixth all-time in goals with 105.
- Carter Petersen and Dylan Behnke each scored two goals, while Ryan McDaniel and Deacon Adams each scored one.
