RESULTS
JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – The Queens University of Charlotte men's and women's track & field teams wrapped competition at the 2025 Atlantic Sun Conference Outdoor Track & Field Championships this evening with the women claiming their highest finish since joining the league.
Queens' women earned fourth place after totaling 86 points while the men finished sixth with 76 points. Central Arkansas claimed both titles convincingly.
NOTABLE PERFORMANCES
- Jakob Nutzel won the final gold medal for the men today after taking first in the discus throw. His 52.22-meter throw ranks ninth at Queens. Zsombor Takacs took second place in the event with a throw of 51.38 meters, which sits 10th at Queens.
- Takacs also took third place in the javelin with a mark of 50.06 meters.
- Josiah Ford took fourth place in the men's triple jump, setting a new school record with a jump of 14.35 meters. Amir Muhammad took seventh in the event with a 13.43-meter jump, which ranks eighth at Queens.
- On the track, Alexander Mannel finished seventh in the 110-meter hurdles in 15.15 seconds. His time is eighth on Queen's top 10 list.
- In the men's 100-meter dash, Braden Dunn was eighth in 10.99 seconds.
- Trey Leggins was fourth in the 400-meter run, clocking in at 48.82 seconds.
- Queens' 4x400 men's relay team finished third in 3:15.72, which is second in the school.
- The Queens men won four total medals: two gold, one silver, and one bronze.
- Vesna Kljajevic earned her gold medal in the shot put with a throw of 14.45 meters, which ranks third at Queens. Lauren Christian took eighth in the event, throwing 12.83 meters.
- Jada Brown took third place in the triple jump with a mark of 11.77 meters. Her mark is the third-best at Queens.
- On the track, the women's 4x100 relay team took fifth in 48.25 seconds. The time sits fifth at Queens. Their 4x400 relay team finished seventh.
- Simone Mouras collected points for the Royals in two events today, taking seventh place in the 1500 and fifth place in the 800. Her time of 2:14.14 in the 800 ranks fourth at Queens while Rowan Shannon's sixth-place time of 2:14.46 ranks fifth.
- Halle Perry secured a fourth-place finish in the 400-meter hurdles in 1:02.36. Her time ranks fourth at Queens.
- The Queens women won six total medals: three gold, one silver, and two bronze.
