WINTHROP, S.C. – The Queens University of Charlotte men's and women's track and field programs closed out the Winthrop Invitational with more personal records this afternoon.
NOTABLE PERFORMANCES
- Josiah Ford turned in the best outdoor triple jump performance in Queens history, recording a mark of 14.68 meters for third place.
- Luke Collins finished second in the 800-meter run in 1:56.42.
- Maurice Richardson recorded a personal record time of 11.08 seconds in the 100. He also ran on the 4x100 team with David Wall, Amir Muhammad, and Dyson Abrams to turn in the fastest time this season in the event, 43.44 seconds.
- Lina Mills-Zacapa finished second in the 800-meter run in 2:21.71. Natalie Dempsey was in third with a personal record time of 2:24.25. Gianna Mars finished third.
- Makayla Bonnett and Kacie Bailey each turned in personal records in the 400-meter run.
- In the women's high jump, Charlise Carlson turned in a personal record, jumping 1.60 meters. She finished second.
- Emily Skaar finished sixth in the triple jump with a mark of 9.99 meters. She also finished 16th in the long jump with a mark of 4.58 meters.
