CHARLOTTE, N.C- The Queens University of Charlotte men's and women's track and field teams are set to compete in the 2025 ASUN Outdoor Track & Field Championships, which are scheduled to take place in Jacksonville, Fla., at Hodges Stadium located on the campus of the University of North Florida.
WHAT HAPPENED LAST SEASON
- The Queens men's team completed the 2024 ASUN Championships in fifth place. Jakob Nutzel took silver in the discus throw while Jaroslav Sivuha won silver in the decathlon.
- The Queens women's team captured a fifth-place finish at the 2024 ASUN Championships. Lucy Waliker won gold in the high jump and bronze in the triple jump. Emilija Kusic took gold in the heptathlon while Halle Perry won bronze in the event.
MEN'S TOP MARKS
- Josiah Ford and Robin Ott have the sixth and seventh-best high jump marks in the ASUN this season. He also ranks third in the triple jump following a 14.07-meter jump at the Vertklasse Meeting this year.
- Alexander Mannel posted a mark of 4.25 meters in the pole vault at the Charlotte Invitational, which is third-best in the league.
- Petar Canak's jump of 7.28 meters in the long jump ranks fifth in the league.
- Jakob Nutzel (56.59m) and Zsombor Takacs (51.19m) sit first and second in the discus throw.
- Robin Ott is ranked second in the javelin, with a mark of 64.60 meters, as recorded at the Duke Invitational.
WOMEN'S TOP MARKS
- Halle Perry enters with the fifth-best 400-meter hurdles time in the league this season at 1:02.75.
- Heloise Louiset sits second in the ASUN in the high jump as she enters with a mark of 1.71 meters. Marissa Klamorick's 1.65-meter performance from the WUPax Invitational ranks fifth. Louiset's mark of 5.81 meters in the long jump is fifth best as well.
- Jada Brown enters the meet ranked fourth in the triple jump after recording a mark of 11.57 meters at the Davidson Relays this season.
- Vesna Kljajevic has the top mark in the ASUN in the shot put this season after recording a throw of 14.95 meters at the Charlotte 49er Classic.
