Royals Compete at Duke Invitational

RESULTS
 
DURHAM, N.C.-  The Queens University of Charlotte men's and women's track and field teams had select members competing at the Duke Invitational this weekend, posting Queens top 10 marks and new personal records.
 
NOTABLE PERFORMANCES
  • Heloise Louiset cleared the bar at 1.71 meters in the high jump to finish second in Group A. Her mark sits fourth all-time at Queens. Additionally, Sara Sandric competed in the Group B competition, finishing eighth with a mark of 1.56 meters.
  • In the women's triple jump, Gisele Dulnuan-Kersey took 22nd place with a jump of 11.29 meters. The mark sits ninth all-time at Queens.
  • In the women's shot put event, Lauren Christian was 18th after throwing 11.94 meters, which sits ninth at Queens.
  • Highlighting the field events for the men was Jakob Nutzel, who took fourth in the discus throw with a mark of 52.60 meters. Zsombor Takacs finished seventh with a throw of 48.18 meters. Their marks sit 6th and 10th at Queens.
  • Robin Ott secured fourth place in the javelin throw with a mark of 64.80 meters, which is second all-time at Queens.
  • In the triple jump, Josiah Ford was 27th with a jump of 13.12 meters, which is eighth best at Queens. Amir Muhammad recorded a jump of 13.00 meters to sit ninth all-time at Queens.
  • On the track, Halle Perry finished 27th in the 400-meter hurdles in 1:03.48. The time is the fifth best at Queens.
  • Jada Brown recorded a time of 12.48 seconds in the 100-meter dash, which is ninth all-time at Queens.
  • In the 5000-meter run, Queens had four runners record personal records as Weronika Ptaszynska, Emma Olson-Keating, and Simone Mouras finished 41st, 44th, and 46th, respectively. Jet Francis was the fourth to set a personal record, finishing 76th.
  • Noah Boeck of the men's team raced in the 3,000-meter steeplechase, taking 18th place in 9:28.47. His time sits fourth at Queens.
  • Chandon Smith took 22nd place in the 400-meter hurdles in 55.63 seconds to sit sixth all-time.
 
UP NEXT
Queens will compete at the Winthrop Invitational on April 19.
