Queens Competes at WUPax Invite

RESULTS
 
ROCK HILL, N.C.-  The Queens University of Charlotte men's and women's track and field teams competed at the Winthrop University Pax Invite this weekend, securing numerous top finishes and top 10 marks.
 
NOTABLE PERFORMANCES
  • Jada Brown had a great weekend on the track and in jumps. On the track, she took third place in the 100, in 12.37 seconds. Her 12.36 seconds in prelims sits sixth all-time at Queens. She also took third in the triple jump with a mark of 11.28 meters, which sits 10th at Queens. Her jump of 5.46 meters in the long jump was also third.
  • In the high jump, Marissa Klamorick cleared the bar at 1.65 meters for first place. Her mark sits eighth at Queens. Klamorick also finished sixth in the 100-meter hurdles.
  • Lina Mills-Zacapa also secured a first-place finish this weekend, clocking a time of 4.53.66 in the 1500-meter run.
  • In the shot put, Lauren Christian took second with a throw of 12.05 meters, which is ninth best at Queens.
  • Kamile Bickute took third place in the javelin throw with a mark of 28.20 meters.
  • For the men, Uriah Aili took first in the 1500 in 4:01.66. Nate Adams followed in third place.
  • David Fort took first in the 800 in 1:55.55 with Luke Collins following in eighth.
  • Chandon Smith took first in the 400-meter hurdles in 54.50 seconds. His time sits third at Queens. Smith also took 11th in the 200 with a time that sits 10th at Queens.
  • Braden Dunn took third in the 100 and 200, in 10.88 and 21.84 seconds, respectively. Both times sit third at Queens.
  • Enrico Busato earned first place in the discus throw (42.11m) and shot put (14.99m). His mark in shot put sits fourth all-time at Queens.
  • Petar Canak recorded a jump of 7.18 meters in the long jump to take second place and sit second all-time at Queens.
  • Josiah Ford recorded a jump of 13.64 meters in the triple jump. The jump is fourth best at Queens.

UP NEXT
Queens will close its regular season next weekend at the Charlotte Invitational. Atlantic Sun Conference Outdoor Championships are scheduled for May 15-17 in Jacksonville, Fla.
