CAMEL CITY DISTANCE
WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. – The Queens University of Charlotte men's and women's track and field teams were back in action this weekend, competing at JDL Fast Track. The Royals competed in the Camel City Sprints on Friday and the Camel City Distance today.
NOTABLE PERFORMANCES
- Marissa Klamorick raced in the 400-meter dash and finished eighth in 59.76 seconds. The time ties for fifth best in program history.
- Rowan Shannon finished ninth in the 800-meter run in 2:19.30.
- Simone Mouras raced to ninth place in the mile in a time of 5:00.60.
- Noah Beck finished 12th in the mile in 4:13.12.
- Regina Michel raced in the 3000-meter run, taking 14th place in 10:22.16.
- Peter Canak took sixth place in the long jump with a mark of 6.89 meters.
- Vesna Kljajevic grabbed fifth place in the shot put with a throw of 13.80 meters.
- Jada Brown jumped 11.24 meters in the triple jump for seventh place.
- Josiah Ford took 12th place in the high jump with a mark of 1.85 meters. He also finished fifth in the triple jump with a mark of 14.20 meters.
- Dyson Abrams took ninth place in the triple jump with a mark of 13.60 meters.
NEXT UP
Queens will return to action next weekend, competing in the Liberty University Darius Dixon Memorial Invitational from Feb. 13-14.
