RESULTS
LOUISVILLE, Ky. – The Queens University of Charlotte men's and women's track and field team wrapped day one of the ASUN Indoor Track & Field Championships in fifth place in the men's standings and seventh in the women's. Both teams have secured 13 points.
Central Arkansas leads the women with 63 points and the men with 71 points.
NOTABLE PERFORMANCES
- Halle Perry highlighted the day, repeating as ASUN Pentathlon Champion. Perry totaled a score of 3,653 for a new personal record in the event, after finishing first in both the 800-meter run and high jump during the event.
- Petar Canak also made the podium, taking silver in the long jump. Canak's mark of 7.30 meters also set a new school record in the event.
- In prelims, Rowan Shannon advanced to the 800-meter run finals, while Simone Mouras will race in tomorrow's mile final. Shannon clocked a season-best time of 2:14.20 in the 800, and Mouras posted a personal-best time of 4:57.97 in the mile.
- For the men, Isaac Battles will race in tomorrow's 400-meter dash final after posting a season-best time of 49.01 seconds in prelims.
- Oliver Cooper posted the top time in the men's 800-meter run prelims, clocking in at a personal best 1:50.77.
- Michael Robinson earned a point for the Royals, taking eighth in the long jump.
- The men's 4,000-meter DMR team earned four points with a fifth-place finish.
- The women's DMR team took sixth place to earn three points.
