RESULTS
CHARLOTTE, N.C.- The Queens University of Charlotte men's and women's track and field teams began their outdoor seasons today at the Charlotte 49er Classic.
NOTABLE PERFORMANCES
- Heloise Louiset took fifth place in the long jump with a mark of 5.56 meters, which sits 9th all-time at Queens. She also raced in the 100-meter hurdles, taking 13th place in 15.39 seconds.
- Jada Brown finished 7th in the long jump with a mark of 5.54 meters while Halle Perry was 13th with a mark of 5.28 meters.
- Perry also ran in the 400-meter hurdles race, finishing 7th in 1:04.71. She sits ninth all-time in the event.
- The distance crew got to work for the women, as Livia Wespe finished third in the 5000-meter invite in 17:03.71. Her time is eighth best at Queens. Additionally, Emma Olson-Keating was 14th in a time of 17:48.46.
- Kira Ribbink raced in the 5,000-meter open, taking fifth in 18:30.95. Beatty Grace White was 14th.
- Simone Mouras took ninth place in the 1500-meter run in 4:39.80.
- On the track, Uriah Ali of the men's squad raced to a win in the 5,000-meter open in 14:47.58. Noah Beck and Lance Sotelo followed in fourth and fifth place, respectively. Preston Gantt finished 17th.
- In the men's group B high jump, Josiah Ford was eighth with a mark of 1.76 meters.
