Royals Set for ASUN Quarterfinal Clash with No. 3 EKU

FORT MYERS, FLA. — Queens women's volleyball is back in the ASUN Tournament for the second straight year and will open its postseason campaign with a rematch against third-seeded Eastern Kentucky, a team that swept the Royals back on Oct. 10. That match was tight through the first two sets (21–25, 23–25, 16–25) before the Colonels closed it out. Now, with both teams riding momentum from strong finishes to conference play, Friday's quarterfinal shapes up as one of the most competitive matchups in the bracket.

Location: Alico Arena (Fort Myers, Fla.)

LAST TIME OUT
Queens enters the ASUN Tournament coming off one of its most complete performances of the season, taking down Lipscomb 3–1 in its regular-season finale inside Curry Arena. After the Bisons controlled the opening frame 25–18, the Royals regrouped and surged to three straight set wins 25–21, 25–21, 25–16 to close out on a high note. The Royals' offense exploded for 60 kills, highlighted by 14 each from Elizabeth Layson and Emma Norris and 13 from Ellis Sargent, while the team hit .400 in Set 2 and .389 in Set 4. Tilley Collins anchored the defense with 20 digs, and Queens' blocking and serve pressure helped flip momentum after the opening set. The victory secured Queens' fourth win in its last five matches entering the postseason.
