However, they fell short against Jacksonville University on Saturday afternoon, losing a hard-fought battle 83-76 at Swisher Gymnasium.

THE MATCHUPS
This marks the third meeting in series history against the Lions. Queens dropped last season's lone match up against North Alabama, 75-71, at Curry Arena. Despite the loss,
Jordyn Weaver delivered a standout performance, recording a career-high 33 points and 16 rebounds.
Both teams post nearly identical offensive efficiency with North Alabama scoring 68.8 points a game, while the Royals are posting 68.1 points per game.
North Alabama and Queens were picked tenth and eleventh respectively in the 2024-25 ASUN Preseason Coaches Poll.

- Queens has done a solid job pressuring opponents, forcing 20 turnovers per game while averaging 8.4 steals per contest. The Royals currently rank fourth in the ASUN in steals.
- The Queens offense is led by junior forward Jordyn Weaver, who is having a standout season. Weaver is averaging 13.6 points and 7.7 rebounds per game, making her a force in the paint. In conference play, Weaver has elevated her rebounding to 9.0 per game while still maintaining her scoring presence.
- Jordyn Weaver has scored double figures in 19 of the last 20 games this season.
- Ball State transfer Ana Barreto provides an outside shooting threat, averaging 9.3 points per game while hitting 32 percent from beyond the arc.
- Senior guard Aylesha Wade has been another key contributor, posting 8.9 points per game while leading the team in assists (48). She has been even more effective in conference play, increasing her scoring to 10.4 points per game while knocking down 56.5 percent of her three-point attempts.

- The last time out the University of North Alabama women's basketball team dropped a hard-fought game on the road in Nashville, falling to the Lipscomb Bisons 85-76 in Allen Arena. Capping a two-game road swing against Atlantic Sun Conference foes in Tennessee, North Alabama overcame a slow start in the first half to give Lipscomb a battle in the final two quarters.
- North Alabama enters this match up with a 9-10 overall record and a 4-4 mark in conference play. The Lions have been competitive throughout the season, showing strength on their home court with a 6-3 record.
- Offensively, UNA averages 68.8 points per game while allowing 69.5, showing a slight scoring deficit. The team excels on the boards, out-rebounding opponents by an average margin of 6.6 per game.
- Leading the way for North Alabama is Charity Gallegos, who averages 13.1 points and 3.5 rebounds per game. Gallegos the primary playmaker for the Lions, dishing out a team-high 73 assists while shooting 31.1 percent from beyond the arc.
- Alyssa Clutter has been another key contributor, averaging 7.6 points and leading the team in rebounding with 5.7 boards per game. Clutter has stepped up in conference play, boosting her scoring to 9.0 points per game while grabbing 6.9 rebounds.
