From Coach Pesic
"Our team finished fifth on both men's and women's sides. We have achieved our goal of placing higher than last year. Last year men's were eighth, women's were sixth. We also achieved a goal of scoring more points on both sides; we scored 62 on the women's and 64 on the men's, compared to last year when on the men's side, we scored 23 and on the women's side, 51.5. Lastly, we achieved our third and final goal of winning more medals compared to last year. Last year, we won three medals, while this year, we won seven medals.
Our top finisher today was
Lucy Walliker, who placed third in the triple jump with a new school record. Our team also broke the school record in men's 4x100 and 4x400m relays.
I am very proud of how our team competed across all event groups, and I am very optimistic that the team we are building next year will score twice as many points and bring home twice as many medals. We have work to do, but we will make it happen."
