CHARLOTTE, N.C. — The Royals are headed to Tennessee to face the Austin Peay Governors in a three-game series starting on Saturday, April 20 at 2:00 PM ET.

GAME NOTES & QUICK FACTS - QUEENS ROYALS
- The Queens University of Charlotte softball team took home both wins (5-1, 4-3) against non-conference opponent Furman at the Stick on Wednesday, April 17.
The wins against Furman mark five-straight victories for the squad this season, and the first time in Division I program history that Queens has won five games or more in a row.
- In the first inning, Autumn Courtney pitched her 200th strikeout in the season. She still currently leads the country in strikeouts this season with (now) 206 strikeouts, and is at the 397 strikeout mark for her career.
- The sophomore also sits at a 1.55 ERA and moved up to a 16-8 record this season.
- Kayla Smith stands out among the squad in batting average this season with a .318. Smith has played in all 41 games this season and has reached base in 13 straight games, marking the longest streak for a Royal this season.
- There are two Royals who are on a three-game hitting streak - Kasidi Staley and Kayla Smith.
Scouting the Opponent - Austin Peay Governors
- While the Royals are riding a five-game winning streak on their way into the Volunteer state, the home team will be hosting while carrying a seven-game losing streak, including their last six games in the Atlantic Sun. The rough stretch has plummeted Austin Peay to the bottom of the conference in the standings.
-Although the Governors are last in the ASUN in the standings, they are actually second in the league in batting average (.273). They are led by junior first baseman Kylie Campbell, who is third in the league in batting average (.394), but is first in hits (52).
- Senior pitcher Jordan Benefiel is ninth in the ASUN in ERA (2.56), and is also third in the conference in strikeouts (114). Benefiel only needs one win to reach 50 career wins, which would make her the third pitcher to do so in program history.
- Graduate senior outfielder Kendyl Weinzapfel only needs one hit this weekend for her 150th career hit of her career. She would be the 18th player in program history to get to that mark. This season, she is batting .303 with two home runs, three triples, four doubles, 18 RBI, and 14 runs.
