FROM COACH PESIC
"We had a small roster going to this meet, but I'm thrilled with their performance. Zak and Moritz executed the race tactically well. Zak took the lead early and maintained it strongly, while Moritz delivered a powerful kick towards the end. Both are showing positive trends in training and racing.
Beth displayed remarkable resilience in her solo 5K effort, maintaining a strong pace throughout. Running so many laps alone is challenging, but she remained focused and finished comfortably under 17 minutes.
In addition, Jakob performed exceptionally well despite battling a tough discus throw conditions. This was his second-best meet ever and he secured third place in a highly competitive field. I'm extremely pleased with their performances and looking forward to seeing where the rest of our team at this point of the season is next week at High Point."
WHAT'S NEXT?
The Royals will travel to High Point, NC on Friday April 5th for the 2024 VertKlasse Meeting.
