ROCK HILL, S.C. — The Queens softball team looks to break their streak in a non-conference doubleheader slate against the Winthrop Eagles in Rock Hill on Wednesday, March 20 starting at 4:00 PM.

ROYALS GAME NOTES & FAST FACTS - QUEENS ROYALS
- The Royals are just coming off their first conference series of the season, as the Florida Gulf Coast Eagles took home the series by scores of 0-5, 0-3, and 0-1.
- In 12 innings pitched, Autumn Courtney allowed four runs but whipped in 13 strikeouts. Despite taking two losses on the weekend in the circle, the sophomore still has an ERA under 2 (1.43).
- Sunday proved to be a better offensive day for the Royals, outhitting their opponents six hits to three. Kasidi Staley and Ashlyn Mickler each snagged a single in the top of the fifth, a first-inning single from Abby Craver, a single up the middle from Kiana Termine in the top of the second inning, a third-inning laced double from Haley Hmiel, and a single to center from Brooke Piper in the top of the seventh.
- In the ASUN, we are ranked fourth in the league in fielding with a .967 fielding percentage. In 21 games, Queens has only committed 17 errors.
SCOUTING THE OPPONENT - Winthrop Eagles
- The Eagles are last in the Big South in fielding percentage (.958) and errors (35), after having the second-best fielding percentage in the conference in 2023.
- Junior Emma Jackson is first in the league in OBP (.492), second in OPS (1.023), fourth in batting average (.347), fifth in SLG (.531), and fifth in doubles (7).
- Redshirt senior Paige Rivas leads the Big South and is eighth in Division I in stolen bases (18). Rivas in 18/19 on the base path this season.
- Kendall Fuller is in her first season as head coach in Rock Hill after three seasons at Division II Lees-McRae. During her time with the Bobcats, she played Queens four times. The record was split 2-2.
