CHARLOTTE, N.C. — The Royals head back out on the road for the first time in two weeks to take on Central Arkansas and North Alabama in ASUN action.
LAST TIME OUT
- The Royals went 1-1 on the weekend inside the Levine Center, falling to EKU in a thrilling five-setter and taking down Bellarmine in a 3-0 sweep.
- Notably, senior Kayla McDuffie had a sensational weekend. McDuffie pieced together 15 total blocks against EKU and Bellarmine, including seven blocks against EKU in five sets, and a career-high matching 8 blocks against Bellarmine in only three sets of play. She averaged 1.88 blocks per set over the weekend. Additionally, she tallied six solo blocks against Bellarmine, marking a career-high for the senior.
SCOUTING THE OPPONENT
North Alabama:
- UNA's attack is led by Reese Ricketts with 297 kills and Brenna Tietz with 224 kills. The team averages 12.4 kills per set.
- UNA averages 16.1 digs per set, with the duo of Audrey Small (352 digs) and Ricketts (210 digs) leading the defense.
- Their defense at the net is solid, averaging 1.9 blocks per set. Nicole Sargent has been particularly impactful with 73 total blocks.
- They are susceptible to service errors, recording 177 service errors across 81 sets
Central Arkansas:
- UCA's offense is led by Laci Bohannan with 233 kills and Mackenzie Vernon with 204 kills. As a team, they average 13.6 kills per set, with a hitting percentage of .225.
- They are solid defensively, with 15.0 digs per set. McDaniel (305 digs) and Coons (162 digs) anchor the backline, while they also average 1,77 blocks per set.
