Box Score CHARLOTTE, N.C. – The Queens University of Charlotte field hockey team (1-11) picked up its first win of the season this evening, defeating Wingate University by a score of 6-0. The Bulldogs move to 10-3 on the season.

INSIDE THE MATCH
The Royals controlled possession of the ball for the majority of today's game, scoring their first goal in the 13
th minute when
Mickayla Clark punched a loose ball into the back of the cage.
Pilar Rodriguez then scored in the second quarter to give Queens a 2-0 lead at the halftime break.
A goal from
Hensley Miller in the third quarter put the Royals in front 3-0, and two more scored in the final five minutes of play would give the match its final score.

- Queens outshot the Bulldogs, 23-1, putting 13 shots on goal.
- The Royals earned eight penalty corners, giving up just two to the Bulldogs.
