LYNCHBURG, VA --- The Queens University of Charlotte track and field team had a great day at the 2024 Brant Tolsma Invitational as the men's heptathlon and women's pentathlon teams kicked off the meet with multiple top 10 finishes.
In the women's pentathlon,
Halle Perry is second overall with a total score of 3360. Celia Speiss is fifth with a score of 3107 and
Mia Milasinovic is seventh with a score of 3063.
Emilija Kusic is 12th and
Kamile Bickute is 14th. In the men's heptathlon,
Robin Ott placed fourth overall with a score of 2617.
Notable Event Finishes
• Job Van Keulen finished second in the long jump with a best jump of 22' 1 ¼".
Jaroslav Sivuha also finished fourth at 21' 1¾"and
Robin Ott finished sixth at 20' 2 ¾'.
• In the men's shot put,
Robin Ott got the second-place finish with a best throw of 42' 5 ¼".
Jaroslav Sivuha also finished fourth at 36' 10 ¾".
• Ott also got fourth place in the high jump with a best jump of 5' 9 ¼".
• In the women's high jump,
Heloise Louiset finished second with a best jump of 5' 6 ¾".
Mia Milasinovic also finished fourth at 5'2"and
Halle Perry finished seventh at 5' 1".
• In the shot-put pentathlon finals,
Emilija Kusic placed second with a best throw of 35'9". Celia Speiss also finished third at 34' 1" followed by a fourth-place finish by
Mia Milasinovic at 33' 3 ½".

Halle Perry finished third in the long jump with a best jump of 16' 11 ¾".
Heloise Louiset also finished fifth at 16' 10 ¼" and Celia Spiess finished 11th at 15' 11 ½"

"I saw some good individual indicators today. On the men's side
Robin Ott is putting together a solid Heptathlon and we hope to see him finish strong day two. On the women's side
Heloise Louiset is reaching her best ever form in the High Jump already and we are excited to see where she can get to this spring.
Emilija Kusic had a strong hurdle race and
Halle Perry had a solid overall Pentathlon. We do expect much more as we move forward with our track season from this group."
