GAME NOTES
CHARLOTTE, N.C. – The Queens University of Charlotte men's lacrosse team is welcoming VMI to Dickson Field tomorrow for its NCAA DI home opener. The Royals are scheduled to take on the Keydets in their second game of the season at 4 p.m. on Friday, February 10.
SETTING THE SCENE
- This is the first meeting between the Royals and the Keydets.
- This is the first NCAA Division I season for the Queens Royals who are a first-year member of the ASUN Conference. The Royals wrapped their final NCAA DII season as a member of the South Atlantic Conference with a 12-5 overall record and a 7-3 league record.
- VMI enters today's game at 1-0 after opening its season with a 14-11 win over Detroit Mercy. Scout Ripley led with four goals while Luke Mryncza added three goals and an assist. Luke Rusterucci led in assists with five while also scoring two goals. Adam Norris took the win in goal after recording 10 saves.

LAST TIME OUT
- The Royals played their inaugural NCAA DI game on Feb. 5 at Navy falling 19-5 to the Mids.
- Sophomore Micah Stechmiller scored the first Division I goal in Queens history this past weekend on the road against Navy and finished the first game of the new era with two goals. In addition, Hunter Meyer also scored two goals on six shots, and Adam Barry added one goal after taking three shots.
