RESULTS
CLEVELAND, Tenn. – Queens University of Charlotte's distance crew from the men's and women's track and field teams traveled to Lee University this weekend to compete in the Flames Invitational.
In the women's 5,000-meter run,
Franca Henseleit turned in an NCAA provisional time of 16:57.62 for fourth place just a week after winning a national championship at the USA Triathlon Collegiate Club Championships.
Cherise Carreira also recorded an NCAA provisional mark in the race, taking seventh place in a time of 17:02.95.
Stevie Lawrence raced in both the 1,500 meter and 5,000-meter races, taking second and 16
th, respectively. She recorded personal records in both events.
Evie Wild,
Sarah Watts, and
Madison Webster followed her in the 1,500 taking 18
th, 24
th, and 36
th.
Fatima Alanis closed the night running in heat one of the 10,000-meter run. Her time of 33:52.34 was an NCAA provisional mark and a personal record.
For the men,
Adam Wright turned in the highest finish clocking in at 3:51.63 for eighth place in the 1,500.
Mitchel Cox and Sam Roberts raced to 11
th and 56
th-place finishes, respectively.
Roberts also ran in the 5,000-meter run clocking a time of 15:40.06 while
Lance Sotelo finished the race in 15:44.79.
Erick Sanchez completed the day for the men, taking 46
th in the 10,000 meter in 31:19.25.
Queens will be back in action tomorrow for the final day of the Flames Invitational.
