CHARLOTTE, N.C. – Following a 68-62 non-conference win over Augusta University on Wednesday night inside Curry Arena, the Queens University of Charlotte women's basketball team returns to South Atlantic Conference play this weekend when the team hosts Lincoln Memorial University.
Wednesday's win was the first for Queens over a Peach Belt Conference school since Nov. 19, 2011 when the Royals knocked off UNC Pembroke 56-55 inside Curry Arena.
Queens and Lincoln Memorial meet for the 18
th time since the 1991-92 season on Saturday in the Levine Center. The Railsplitters hold a14-3 advantage in the all-time series after collecting a 66-58 overtime victory on February 24, 2018 in the most recent meeting. Each of the three LMU losses have come in the Queen City.
Saturday's game, scheduled for a Noon start time, is a White Out sponsored by the Queens Campus Union Board. All fans are encouraged to wear white, and the Queens CUB is sponsoring a t-shirt swap. Students who bring a t-shirt bearing the logo of another school can trade it in for a Queens t-shirt or buy one for $5. All t-shirts collected by the Queens CUB will be donated to charity.

-In the victory over Augusta, Adepoju led all players with 16 points and a season-high 15 rebounds for her third straight double-double to go along with two blocks at the rim. Bernardeco followed with a Queens career-high 13 points as well as six assists in 32 minutes.
-Through seven games the Royals average 66.9 points per game on offense and force opponents into more than 22 turnovers per game on defense, a mark that ranks them among the Top 20 in NCAA Division II.
Adepoju paces the Royals with 12.6 points and 9.4 rebounds per game, while freshman
Jaleah Goff averages 10.4 points to go along with 6.1 rebounds per game. Eanes,
Carolina Bernardeco and
Jaymi Golden each average more than eight points per game for a balanced Queens offense.
Lincoln Memorial Railsplitters (3-3, 1-1)
-The Railsplitters have had three consecutive winning seasons and are just two years removed from appearing in the 2017 NCAA Division II Southeast Regional Championship game.
In their most recent game, Lincoln Memorial tallied a 76-66 home win over Coker College last weekend. The Railsplitters shot 50% from three-point range in the victory and forced 24 turnovers on the defensive end of the floor.
-Lincoln Memorial is the SAC's third highest scoring offense, registering 75.8 points per game and making a league-high 36.8% of its three-point attempts. On defense, LMU gives up 75.3 points per game, the second highest total in the league.
Senior guard Rachel Griffith leads the team with 14 points per game, while twin sister Emily Griffith follows with 11.7 points per game. Fellow senior Dasia Maxwell chips in 10.3 points per game and makes 42.1% of her long-range shot attempts.
-Head Coach Krystal Evans is in her fifth season in charge of the Lady Railsplitters and sports an 80-46 overall record. Evans has three straight winning seasons and has led LMU to the South Atlantic Conference Tournament each year since coming to Harrogate.
