Results

OAKWOOD, Ga.  –  For the first time since 2011, the Queens University of Charlotte men's and women's cross country teams have swept the NCAA DII Southeast Region Championships. The sixth-ranked men totaled 34 points to beat out Mount Olive's 78 points for the Championship title while the 23rd-ranked women totaled 50 points to finish ahead of Flagler's 98 points. Also advancing to the NCAA DII Men's and Women's Cross Country Championships out of the region are the Anderson women and the Augusta men.

"We couldn't't be more proud of both squads," said Queens head men's and women's cross country coach Tom Scott. "The hard work that these student-athletes have put in throughout the years has been incredible and they are seeing the results. We ran a smart race and executed the race plan perfectly on both sides. We're excited to represent Queens at the NCAA Championships in a couple of weeks!"

Queens' men took the top spot for the first time since 2011 after having three runners place in the top five. Daniel Wallis led the pack, grabbing third place in 31:50.96 while Felix Wammetsberger (31:54.24) and Anthony Raftis (31:56.48) followed in fourth and fifth place, respectively. Elijah Inuwa grabbed 10th place in 32:22.64 and Nick Kipkemei was 12th in a time of 32:25.09. Jose Rosas claimed 14th place in 32:37.99.

Carissa Jenkins paced the women to their second straight regional title racing to a seventh-place finish in 22:41.62.
