CHARLOTTE, N.C. – Queens University of Charlotte men's and women's cross country teams were back in the home city of Charlotte on Friday, Sept. 13 for the Queen City Invite at McAlpine Creek Park.
Emory University took home both wins on the men's and women's sides, posting 50 points and 37 points, respectively.
RACE RESULTS:
Men (8k Race): 4th out of 12 teams (122)
Women (5k Race): 4th out of 12 teams (112)
Highlighting the meet was Beth Cook, who finished atop the leaderboard in the women's race, finishing first out of a total 111 individuals with a personal-best time of 17:36.22. Sarah Watts finished close behind in the top ten with a time of 18:17.62.
The men's side in the 8k race saw Victor Tvistholm Jorgensen finish among the top ten with a time of 25:04.02. Noah Boeck took home the next fastest time for the Royals with a time of 26:16.18, earning 24th place.
