RESULTS
CHARLOTTE, N.C. – The Queens University of Charlotte men's swimming team registered a second place finish in Saturday morning tri-meet inside the Levine Center, falling 148-114 to the University of Indianapolis and winning 169.5-92.5 over Wingate University.
Indianapolis, which finished third at the 2018 NCAA Division II National Championship, also won 183-79 over Wingate to take the top overall spot in the tri-meet.
Queens began the meet with a second place finish in the 400-Meter Medley Relay from the team of
Baptiste Leger,
Jan Delkeskamp,
Marius Kusch and
Alen Mosic., followed by an individual runner up finish in the 800-Meter Freestyle from freshman
Mohamed Hegazi.
Leger also had second place finishes in the 100-Meter and 200-Meter Backstroke events. Delskeskamp was a two-time race winner, taking gold in the 200-Meter Breaststroke and 200-Meter I.M., while Kusch won both the 100-Meter and 200-Meter Butterfly races. Kusch was also a second place finisher in the 100-Meter Freestyle, followed by sophomore teammate
Vince Regent in third place.
Junior
Dmytro Sydorchenko was the team's final individual winner, taking the top spot in the 50-Meter Freestyle before teaming with Regent, Mosic and
Mitchell Harwood for a win in the 200-Meter Freestyle Relay.
The team is back in action next weekend as they travel to Atlanta, Ga. for a matchup against Emory University on Saturday, October 20.
