CHARLOTTE, N.C. – The Queens University of Charlotte women's basketball hosts a familiar foe on Wednesday night as the team welcomes Coker College to the Levine Center for a South Atlantic Conference matchup.

Coker currently leads the overall series 17-14 dating back to the 2002-03 season, with eight of the Royals' wins coming in Charlotte. The two teams met earlier this season with Coker collecting an 82-56 win in Hartsville, S.C.
Queens led by one-point after the first quarter of play and held on to a 34-32 lead at intermission. However, Coker opened the second half 11-3 run to claim a six-point advantage midway through the third quarter.
The deficit remained in single digits for much of the third period and into the fourth until a 17-5 run for Coker opened the lead to a 20-point margin as Queens was outscored 29-11 in the final quarter.
Freshman
Kristian Eanes led the Royals with a career-high 20 points on 7-of-12 shooting from the floor and a 6-for-8 performance from the free throw line to go along with five rebounds.
Fellow freshman
Herning Wang followed with 14 points, while senior
Mendy McNeese chipped in 10 points and a team-high six rebounds. Freshman guard
Caitlyn Moore made an impact on the defensive end of the floor with six steals.
Queens Royals (4-15, 1-12 SAC)

-Queens most recently fell to Anderson University 79-62 inside the Levine Center. In the Royals latest victory, the team defeated Mars Hill 65-62 for its first SAC win of the year.
-In the Royals victory versus Mars Hill, Adepoju registered career-highs of 27 points and 16 rebounds while making 9-of-16 shots from the floor and 9-of-11 attempts from the free throw line.
-Queens head coach
Sarah Jansen collected her 50th career win with the triumph over the Lions.
- The Royals ranked fourth among SAC schools on defense, forcing 18.5 turnovers per contest. Across the last four games, Queens has forced opponents to commit more than 20 turnovers three times. Queens is among the Top 5 most efficient offenses in league play, making 40.9% of its field goal attempts.

The Royals are led by junior Lade Adepoju who averages 17.8 points and 7.8 rebounds per contest while shooting 56.3% from the floor. The Alicante, Spain native is the SAC's second-leading scorer and her field goal percentage tops all qualified players. She also ranks fifth in the league in rebounds per game, including third overall with 2.88 offensive boards per contest.
-Eanes and McNeese also average double figures on offense with 10.6 and 10.4 points per game, respectively. Moore chips in 8.7 points per game and is shooting 37.7% from long range.
Coker College (6-12, 3-9 SAC)
- Coker has lost six games in row by an average of 16 points per game. Most recently, the Cobras fell 102-63 to league-leading Carson-Newman University.
-The Cobras are near the middle of the league offensively, but are the fourth best rebounding team, pulling down 41.2 rebounds per game.
- Guard Hayley Kropp is the only Cobra in double figures, scoring 11.8 points per game. Forward Erin Houser follows with 9.7 points per game as well as 6.1 rebounds per contest.
-Kropp had a game-high 22 points and shot 5-for-9 from long range in the first meeting this season, while Houser recorded a double-double with 13 points and 14 rebounds in the contest.
