Royals Continue Homestand Against Lenoir-Rhyne

 - The Queens University of Charlotte women's basketball team welcomes Lenoir-Rhyne University to the Levine Center on Thursday, January 18 for a South Atlantic Conference tilt. 

Opening tipoff is scheduled for 4 p.m. Live coverage of the event will be provided by Queens Athletics and the Queens Sports Network with Phil Constantino and Reginald Walker Jr.

Last season, Queens lost both matchups with the Bears. Lenoir-Rhyne leads the overall series 7-1, with the Royals' lone win coming during the 2014-15 season.

-Queens most recently fell to Lincoln Memorial University 78-55 inside the Levine Center. In the Royals latest victory, the team defeated Mars Hill 65-62 for its first SAC win of the year.

-In the Royals victory versus Mars Hill, junior transfer Lade Adepoju registered career-highs of 27 points and 16 rebounds while making 9-of-16 shots from the floor and 9-of-11 attempts from the free throw line.

-Queens head coach Sarah Jansen collected her 50th career win with the triumph over the Lions.

-The Royals defense has forced 114 turnovers across the last five games, including 20 or more against Limestone, Mars Hill and Lincoln Memorial.

The Royals are led by Lade Adepoju who averages 16.3 points and 8.1 rebounds per contest.

-Kristian Eanes also averages double figures with 11 points per game, while Mendy McNeese follows with 9.9 points. 

Lenoir-Rhyne Bears (8-9, 2-7 SAC)

-Lenoir-Rhyne has currently lost five games in a row, including three on its home floor. The Bears most recently lost 68-51 to Wingate University in Wingate, N.C.

-The Bears are among the league's Top 5 in points per game with 71.7 points per contest, but rank near the bottom of the SAC in scoring defense. LR allows opponents to score 70.8 points per game.

-Lenoir-Rhyne is led by Madi Suddreth with 15.4 points and 7.3 rebounds per game.

-Junior Kendall Toinetta also averages double figures with 12.5 points per game to go along with 6.1 assists and 5.9 rebounds per contest.
