Box Score Hartsville, S.C.- The Queens University of Charlotte softball team (25-26) stands as one of three remaining teams in the South Atlantic Conference Softball Championship with a 7-5 win over Wingate University (32-16) on Saturday, April 30, 2016. The Royals saw three homeruns in their win over the Bulldogs to eliminate the team from the tournament and move to the next round of play.
The game started with equal runs from both teams in the first inning. Queens
Lyndey McCurry batted home
Samantha Martinez for the solo run as Wingate responded off a wild pitch to bring in Mellena Helms.

Abby Lathan to bring in
Kayla Hall and

Heading into the last inning, Queens added one more run to their tally as Frantellizzi hit a ball over the left field wall. Although Wingate found two runs in the last at bat, the Royals held their lead to take the game.
